Earned 1,600 classroom hours facilitating six English classes a day for ages 7–13 — teaching and grading reading, writing, and speaking across levels.
Four countries, one classroom at a time.
I'm Jacqueline — an English-language teacher whose classrooms have stretched from Daejeon to Bangkok to Tangier. I teach across cultures because I've lived across them, and I know exactly how it feels to be the student in the room.
Five years, three school systems
Planned daily ESL lessons for Kindergarten and Grades 2–3 at a trilingual school, teaching phonics, vocabulary, and speaking to classes of 20–30 young learners.
Deliver a rigorous grammar- and speaking-based curriculum from CEFR A1 to C1 — eight weekly lessons for adults, juniors, and children, plus fast-paced summer intensives.
Plus a volunteer classroom at SOS Children's Village in Bali, Indonesia — September 2022.
I learn languages the way my students do — by living in them.
Sitting on the other side of the desk keeps me honest about how hard language learning is — and how good it feels when it clicks.
“A new language should feel like a door opening. My job is to hand every student the key — then get out of the doorway.”
Communicative, student-led lessons. Culture treated as content, not decoration. Mistakes celebrated as evidence of courage.
Certified, and still studying
Formal training in language teaching, a design-trained eye from architecture school, and a standing habit of observing better teachers than me.
Kind words from three countries
Ms. Schipani turned our most reluctant readers into kids who beg for English hour. The classroom was hers from week one.
The most prepared teacher at our branch. Six classes a day, every day — and every single one of them ready.
When we don't understand, she explains it a new way — gestures, drawings, whatever it takes until it clicks. I passed my exam because of her.
